The Site

The proposed development site is located off Ickenham Road in Ruislip. It is within Hillingdon Council’s area.

The site is adjacent to Sharps Lane to the west, Ickenham Road to the east, and Church Avenue to the north east. There is a bus stop south of the site on Ickenham Road.

The site previously operated as the Orchard pub and a Beefeater Inn restaurant. The pub closed in 2023. A Premier Inn hotel continues to operate on the site.

The site has significant history with Polish Airmen who fought in the Second World War and the Battle of Britain. The proposed scheme includes a proposal to provide a restored memorial garden on the site to recognise this history.
